Wednesday, May 8 (return to San Diego):

4:15 AM (FBG, getting up to get to JFK for a 7:00 AM flight): 104

6:00 AM-ish: breakfast at the airport: western omelet (ham/onion/bell pepper) with added cheese, avocado, and jalapeno, coffee

7:59 AM: 122 (! Dawn phenomenon? I didn't test before eating, and breakfast did NOT have that many carbs).

11:20 AM (before snack): 110
Snack: Kiss My Keto chocolate/peanut butter bar (these have been very kind to my BGs; after trying a couple of my daughter-in-law's bars, I've bought a box for myself)

1:35 PM (back in San Diego, before lunch): 93
Lunch: TJ's handful dry roasted almonds, 3 squares Ghirardelli 92% dark chocolate (bought in NY, where the TJ's didn't carry-or was out of-- Montezuma's Absolute Black)

3:59 PM (before snack): 87
Snack: ginger water with heavy cream, 1 oz. rye whiskey

5:47 PM (before dinner): 76
Dinner: ground turkey sauteed with onions, bell peppers, and Southern greens blend; 1/4 wheel Costco double-cream brie, 1/4 cup unsalted mixed nuts
8:05 PM: 84

Average for the day: 97

Macronutrients: 60 grams carbs (27 grams fiber), 147 grams fat, 86 grams protein

12:27 PM (before lunch): 92
Lunch: salad (leftover ground turkey with onions, bell peppers, and greens; 2 hard-boiled eggs, Baby Bel cheese, lettuce), 3 squares Ghirardelli 92%
3:08 PM: 106

6:45 PM (before dinner): 75
Dinner: Kirkland sirloin burger patty, 3/4 Louisiana hot, ginger water with heavy cream, 1 oz. rye whiskey
8:27 PM: 100

Then snack: Kiss My Keto chocolate/coconut bar

Lunch: Nicoise tuna salad

Dinner: chicken meatball salad, 12 oz. pilsner, coffee with half & half, 1 bite cheesecake, 1 strawberry

9:15 PM (at the Music Box): 2 oz. gin on the rocks

11:28 PM: 96

3:00 PM: coffee with heavy cream

4:56 PM (before snack): 99
Snack: Jack's link sausage stick

6:39 PM (before dinner): 97
Dinner: innards of a Philly cheesesteak (sliced grilled chuck steak, onions, cheese), 1 oz. rye whiskey
8:52 PM: 100

Breakfast: avocado, Amylu Andouille chicken sausage, ginger water with heavy cream, coffee, 1/4 cup walnut halves & pieces

11:45 AM (just before our friend's wedding): 103

1:00 PM (lunch): 1/4 cup tuna salad, 3 slices corned beef, 3 slices turkey pastrami, slice Gouda, salad (roasted zucchini & peppers), kalamata and green olives, slice tomato, slice red onion; 5 oz. Prosecco; small piece wedding cake (tiramisu cake with chocolate ganache)

8:54 PM (before dinner (it was a long drive home): 104
Dinner: omelet (Amylu Andouille chicken sausage and Swiss cheese), 1/4 cup unsalted mixed nuts

Didn't stay up to test 2 hours PP

Average for the day: 104

Dinner: 1/2 order machaca, 2 tbsp refries, 1/4 cup roasted, salted macadamias, 1 oz. rye whiskey

8:30 PM-ish (snack): Jack Link's beef stick

[Got tired, went to bed without testing]

Dinner: butter chicken (similar to chicken tikka masala, but chicken is sauteed instead of cooked tandoor-style); low-carb chocolate/peanut butter ice cream, ginger water

Dinner: 10 oz. Pinot noir, two slider patties, 12 shrimp with cocktail sauce, a couple of roasted Brussels sprouts, 1 hors d'oevre-size crab cake
