Default lower after meal readings

This is my 3rd week on 2000 mg. of Metformin hcl. I finally had a fasting of 147 this morning. Since yesterday I've been following Dr. Bernsteins diet. The odd thing is, that 2 times I have had lower B.S. 2 hours after than before the meal. Why is that?

I often have lower readings 2 hours after eating. I'm not sure why. But my reading before eating might be 114 and my reading 2 hours after eating might be 98. But I do take Byetta before I eat two of my meals so I wonder if that is it.
