Looking at what you are eating for breakfast (I don't think you've told us recently what you are eating for lunch and supper) it appears to me that you are eating way to little food and it doesn't surprise me that you are losing weight or can't gain.
For lunch I have a salad using olive oil dressing and about 1/2 can of sardines. Then I have three very small pieces of dark chocolate ((Stevia), and 6 carbs of alcohol sugar gum. Our evening meals is when I have more carbs, but have cut way back. This is the largest meal of the day for us. I have my protien, another half of avocado, then possibly some collards, brussel spounts, kale. No starchy foods. I didn't know carrots were a starchy food until yesterday. I then have some nuts, maybe 1/3 of a cup. Then I eat of piece of a homemade low carb cream cheese pie made with sugar free pudding. and then my 6 carbs of gum. On Saturday my favorite meal I have a filet mignon (1/2 lb). But this last week my readings other than noon have really been good, at least for me. OH, I ate a piece of velveta cheese and a small amount of nuts at 9am. So we will see what happens to that noon reading. I lower my afternoon readings by exercising. Normally I can get it down to 100. I will say one thing, I miss ice cream and fruits. I have not had any for years. Maybe a bite from what my wife eats. Ice cream I truly miss living in Phoenix. Sam

You might try eating something mid morning. I often eat a "second breakfast" if I eat "first breakfast" very early.
Great news VeeJay. At 9:30am I had a piece of cheese and just a few nuts. My bs was 169 at noon instead of over 200. Now this is really great, but it is better. Should I have eaten more AT 9AM. I eat breakfast at 6am. Thanks so much for that for this information. Sam

He will be on vacation until after Thanksgiving. Do you think this diet will cause me lose more weight?
With the stress, there is probably an increase of cortisol and other adrenal hormones, and thus should justify "tests with reason".

Nuts may be something that could add weight. I have heard some people that had stabilized weight loss talk about having to quit snacking on as many nuts because it stopped weight loss or caused weight gain.

I had BPH and had turp. You never want to go through that procedure. It took me 8 months to recover. I know I do have low colesterol, but was told that it could cause my protate gland to get larger. Then I would be back in the same place I was. Do you know if this is true?
I do not know of DHEAs effect on the prostate. I have heard it can be a deterrent to cancer in a healthy prostate but that could change with a diseased one. Not sure of its use enlarging one, but that should be something for discussion with the doctor. There may be other things besides DHEA, or other forms like 7-keto DHEA that may be more applicable.

I'm sure I'm not and have never been a doctor, despite staying a couple of times at a Holiday Inn Express.

By the way, congrats on the improvement of lunchtime BG, now to see if it is repeatable and continues to halt the rise.

OK, I may read more about it.. I won't see the PA until after Thanksgiving. My brother was Sr. VP of Marketing for Hyatt for many years. When we went on vacation he got us presidential suites in the Hyatt. All paid for and most often we didn't even pay for anything. He was also CEO of BW and Jennie Craig. Sam
