You'll have to test and see what happens in your own body. Some of us get spiked - others not.

This is where your meter is king.

I'm able to eat berries, but in limited quantities.

Berries are probably the safest fruit to eat but we do have to limit them. I can usually throw 2 or 3 into a smoothie but I still get a small spike. The only way to know is to test with your meter. I think most berries are in the range of 10 carbs for 1/2 cup which is not bad.

Strawberries are 6,7 carbs pr. 100 gram berries
Raspberry are better. They have only 3,3 carbs pr. 100 gram berries.

I eat berries together with fat, and then I have no spike. If I eat them alone, I can only eat a few before my BG rise.

Thanks to all for awesome input. Raspberries and strawberries are my fab. Glad they don't have to go the way of many of the other things I love to eat. Alan Jackson said it best, "Everything I love is killing me."

I try to buy the ones that are not overly ripe, the sugar content is a little lower. We cut them up over crushed WASA light and crisp crackers, top with home made whipped cream and some art sweetener.

I like strawberries when the tops are still white. Nix mix of tart and sweet that I just love! I limit mine to 3 sliced up and served with oopsies and walden syrup to make a nice strawberry pancake to go along with my breakfast.
