That's a fine looking sandwich, Cricket. That brand of bread is not sold here unless they private-label it for Aldi (the only other place I know of around here that sells keto-friendly bread on a regular basis). Alas, the ingredients often used in keto-friendly products like bread, bagels, etc., don't do my BG any favors.
Yesterday we ate in town after grandson's football game at our favorite Mexican food place. It's been a while since eating there but it offered a new waitress the opportunity to learn how to make the tableside quacamole, my most favorite thing to order. As the name implies, it's made at your table.
Today I had 2 grilled cheese sandwiches, using keto bread and real cheese slices, salt and pepper seasoned pork rinds, a pickle, and a glass of green tea.
We had potluck brunch at church yesterday and we took a pork loin. There were a few other things that I could eat so I didn't do too badly--woke up with 116 blood sugar this morning.
We baked a spaghetti squash and stuffed the halves with diced chicken, Italian spices, Rao's marinara, and topped them with Mozzarella cheese. Put them back in the oven to let the cheese melt--they were delicious!
BH and I went to the big town to the health food store this morning to go get some Turmeric supplements and GinGins she saw there a couple of weeks ago. Of course we get over there and they had neither, well we did find a smaller bottle of the turmeric she was looking for.
We ate lunch at On the Border, I had the Tableside Guac, half of BH's house salad, and a small piece of her chicken quesadilla so that it didn't look like I was just eating the sour cream straight off her plate.
Then we stopped by the Walmart Neighborhood Market on the way home for some stuff we don't usually find in our 3 closest Walmarts' grocery aisles.
We ate at Colton's in Benton, Arkansas yesterday. I had the special which was blackened catfish (a large portion) with grilled vegetables. BH and I don't eat bread, so told them not to even bring it to the table!
