What I would like to know is what everyone is drinking. For sugar free I drink Nestea Zero - GD Costco does not carry it - Noticed Costco is not for Diabetics - Every member should complain :) I have.
This plus Unsweeten Almond milk and Kombucha

Would like to know if I am overlooking some great Diabetic drink out there.

Most of the time -- like >95% of it -- I'm drinking plain' ol' filtered tap water. I found it much easier to "just say no" to artificial sweeteners. Too hard to keep track of which ones are the good guys.

The "fun" drink is whiskey. That's a pretty great low-carb drink...:wink2:

I don't drink artificially sweetened drinks very much. I sweeten coffee and tea with stevia. There are soft drinks out there that are sweetened with stevia, Zevia, may be more. I have only tried the Dr. Zevia so can't speak for the other flavors they have, but I didn't have a "WOW that taste just like DP" moment, but given time I could get accustomed it.

I think Tequila is low carb too.

I just tried a Michelob Ultra Amber the other day, 3.2 grams of carbs. I haven't ever seen one before and I kind of liked the taste. I wonder is it new, or do I really live that sheltered of a life?

Ultra has been around for quite a while. I hadn't heard of Amber, though, so I looked at Anheuser-Busch's Web site; apparently Amber has been around since 2006. So we both have led that sheltered a life.:smile2:

I've probably had a couple of Ultras in my life; for a very-low-carb beer they weren't bad.

I hadn't had a beer since being officially diagnosed in 2012, and maybe a year or so before that, until this past year to the best of my memory. I've had the plain Ultra and Cactus Lime Ultra (or Lime Cactus). Not trying to encourage anyone, but the Amber does taste better of the three.

I avoid artificial sweeteners - several years ago I was getting in to the habit of drinking one Large bottle of diet cola a day, (I'm a very habitual person) and eventually I started suffering from mental depression - I had never been depressed before so I knew there was something going on with this bizarre feeling I was getting.

Told my spouse, then went to see the doctor, he asked the standard questions and that's when I told him about drinking a large volume of diet cola every day. He told me to stop, that he didn't think all that artificial sweetener was good for me and based on previous experience was fairly confident that this was the cause of my depression. So I replaced my diet cola with just plain water - the depression went away after a week or so. I have never felt that way since. That's why I avoid artificial sweeteners.

My drink of choice - non alcohol - Tea or coffee with a little bit of skim milk

Fun party time drink - dry red wine - negligible affects on my BGS

I'm going to have to stay off alcohol until I'm done with warfarin treatment. However, I told them I was a 2 case beer per year guy, and they said that probably wouldn't be a problem.

Strange, too but I was just getting used to green tea, but green tea has vitamin K in it which is an antidote for warfarin. If I drink green tea, I'll have to drink the same amount consistently through out the week(or risk overtreatment or undertreatment of warfarin)...I'm just not that much of a fan so I'm going to abstain. LOL

I have tried the clear cola. It is a nice drink. I find it perhaps a bit too easy to drink if that makes any sense.

My preferred carbonation fix comes from various brands of lemo flavoured sparkling water. They have a subtle sweetness compared to club soda. I like to use them at meal time. I find they create a bloating feeling that quickly goes away but helps me too naturally cut back on how much I eat.

I was a diet cola drinker right up to dec 2017. When I was fasting, I quickly learned that the aspartame triggers my hunger. I still havr diet pepsi but I limit it to 1-3 bottles per week instead of the 1-3 bottles per day that I was used to drinking.

my newest drink is bulletproof coffee. there is so much fat and oil in it, it is bound to disgust anyone that likes black coffee. I like it because I'm able to drink it without any artificial sweeteners.

I love the rootbeer and the grape.

I don't buy it often because it triggers me to drink the whole dang 6 pack in a single day. Hmmmm... I am seeing a pattern here.

At my local Natural Grocers, they keep a supply of single canned/bottled drinks so one can just buy one. I do that with Vergil's Zero cream soda. That makes it a treat, and when it's gone, it's gone.

I bought a 6 pack of Dr. Zevia to see if BH could do it instead of Dr. Pepper or DDP. One sip, and it was mine. I didn't like it well enough to get anymore. I have been working on a 6 pack of Zevia cream soda for a month now. I 'm not sure I'll try any other flavors. This is my just my opinion only. If I had not given up on sodas a few years ago, I could see me getting used to them, but definitely not love at first sip.

LOL, mbuster! I bought a 6 pack and after one sip it was my husband's! He's not as picky as I am. He drank them, but he didn't want anymore.

I'm slow at trying new things but wanting to ditch regular soda I thought I'd give Le Croix flavored sparkling waters a try. first sip I thought someone mixed up a carton of club soda in that box - NO flavor that I could tell!! I finally used the 8 pack up by adding extract flavors OR mixing with some apple cider I had which pretty much turned nice apple cider into a so-so maybe-tastes-like drink. Sad to say that Kool-Aid (with Splends/sweetener) has more going for it!!
