I picked these up in Hy-Vee (regional grocery chain) but I understand they're also sold at Costco and some other big chains (Jewel-Osco, HEB, Schnuck's; they're listed here).

Tonight, they were dinner: the Parmesan variety was the wrap under some ham, lettuce, chopped pickled peppers, and mustard and mayonnaise.

The good: they held together well (better than flour tortillas in my experience) and definitely added something to the meal (not least of which was making a more cohesive shell than usually can be done with lettuce leaves).

The bad: they're not cheap (about $1.75 each) and, at 13-14g of protein, those folks eating keto probably would want to take that much protein into account in their macros.

Would I buy them again? Maybe. I did buy the Cheddar kind at the same time because I hadn't seen these at my usual grocery stores. It seems like it should be easy to take the thin square slices of cheese available at any supermarket and smoosh them together well enough to serve as a wrap, but then you're losing a considerable convenience factor and I don't know as those would hold together that well anyway. But it definitely is another tool in the keto arsenal.

etherea, mbuster and rsfletcher like this.
Now with less sugar!

A1c 10-30-2018 still 5.6 with no meds. Thank you LCHF!
