Question Question about Omega-3 vitamin

I have a bottle of Omega-3 gel capsules that are considered "mini" but I find them too large to swallow (I have a sensitive gag reflex). Is it okay to dissolve them each in a cup of hot water (poured from a kettle)? Or, will this damage the oil?

I don't have a gag reflex unless I think about swallowing a pill too long after I put it in my mouth. I do find that for me it is easier to swallow a pill with a bite of food rather than with a sip of a drink.

The heat will damage the oil I assume. If you need to take fish oil you can get liquid in the bottle but for me I'd rather swallow a pill. I believe Carlson's makes a liquid with lemon flavor to somewhat mask the taste.

Canned Salmon has omega 3 oil in it.

I don't think hot water can get as hot when it is not under pressure.

Thanks for the input, everyone. I figured out that the vitamin dissolves in cold water. It takes about half an hour. This is exciting!
