Another part of the conspiracy. IF they were deep fried in a trans fat oil, yes they'd be bad, but not because they contain saturated fat or cholesterol. I snack on pork rinds a lot.

Cassie, what brand do you buy? The BBQ pork rinds I've gotten around here don't remind me at all of BBQ, just a somewhat-tangy red dust.

If I ate pork, I would be eating pork rinds as well.

I grew up eating "chicharones" as we called them. My father would fry them with onions and garlic and throw in a serrano pepper. The aroma was fantastic.
