Default A deeper understanding of muscle glycogen.

In general, I've always been taught that in order to reach a state of ketosis that you must first deplete your muscle glycogen. Is that pretty much what everyone else was taught?

Except, check out this study... https://www.sciencedirect.com/scienc...26049515003340

they compared fat adapted marathon runners with marathon runner that eat high carbs.

While there were noted differences in fat oxidation.....the muscle glycogen levels before, during, and after the exercise were 'similar'.

Wait a minute! I didnt even know that I have muscle glycogen, and they are saying that I not only have it but if I'm fat adapted I can expect any sort of percieved 'carb advantage' to be quite minimal because my glyccogen levels are expected to be 'similar'
