Opinions on Atkins "net " carbs in their bar

Love some of their bars but is "net carbs? real? Subtracting carbs to get "net"?

My experience is that their "net" is nonsense. I thought they would be a good low-carb treat. Not so. They raise my BG almost as much as a the real thing. You'd have to test to see if this happens with you.

"Net carbs" is real. However, Atkins does it largely by using sugar alcohol sweeteners, which are not counted as "sugary" carbs by those in charge of labeling, but which also are not handled well by every body.

I've read reports of issues caused by these and other bars -- both digestive and blood-glucose. As the old saying kind of goes, "there's no such thing as a free bar". :plain:

The whole 'net grams' equation for most if not all foods doesn't work for me. Maybe you could try one and test your BG. There might be some value there. GL
