My mini Dash arrived earlier today but I just 20 minutes ago realized it and brought it in.

Ripped it open, plugged it in, and having read a bit about making chaffles already, skipped the manual, and as it was warming grabbed an egg and 1/2 cup shredded cheese.

Wait, I was supposed to return an important phone call ASAP. Forget it. Nothing is more urgent than a BLT.

Sprayed with coconut oil, put a bit of cheese down (read this is how to make it crispier), half the beaten mixture, bit more cheese, and closed. It smoked. Uh ... is it supposed to do this? Never mind, who cares, off to heat bacon. It might end up a burnt BLT but it will indeed be a BLT!

Noticed the light went out. There's a light? Oh... guess it's ready. It looked great! Made the 2nd one and glanced at the manual. Ah, one heats it while closed and watches the light. Next time. Meanwhile, tomatoes to slice!

Thank you @1r1shayes! Best BLT since 2011. It used to be one of my faves. Have made numerous low-carb/keto breads (almond meal, etc) over the diabetic years and some were okay, but honestly I gave up. This was heaven and too easy to be true.

Every diabetic at dx should be given a mini Dash. Best US$9.99 ever spent!

YES!! I made an egg mc muffin chaffle sandwich for hubby last week, wrapped it in paper towel, and sent him on his way. About a minute later I get a text from him saying "Holy s**t! Can you make me one of these every morning??"

I've also made ham and cheese sammiches with chaffles. So. Good.

I have not yet tried sweet chaffles with SF syrup. I feel like I would be disappointed in them.

I am making these every.single.day. Addicted.

This morning I made two with egg whites and mozzarella - tomato/lettuce sandwich. They were lighter and might be my new go-to for sandwiches.

Default The Assembly of a Chaffle Burger

I was wrong, that wasn't the Dash that came that day, it came yesterday. Had a chaffle burger tonight. I started to call this "The Making of a Chaffle Burger" but everything was already made when I got home so I'll call it "The Assembly of a Chaffle Burger". It was all I could do to open wide enough to take the first bite, I think the pickles were a little thick.

It was amazing. BH read for burgers, to use cheddar cheese. I'm now thinking PB&SFJ

Had a taste like wonderbread chaffle with supper last night. It was a platform for butter and jelly, went well with scrambled eggs, with peppers and saugage. Had a couple of pieces of bacon and sausage on the side. Thats all the pork that remained after San Jose State ate Hogs last night.
