I grew up on a ranch and thought everyone ate beef every day! We didn't raise chickens, so fried chicken on Sunday was a real treat.
I used to torment my dad by telling him I was becoming a vegetarian. It was about the only way I could get him upset

The way I see it - if beef was so bad for us - wouldn't humans be extinct by now LOL. My great grandfather was a meat eater - from Kentucky he died at 96. Gosh - he would still be alive if he only ate plants - or at least that's what the industry would like you to believe :-)
