Keto Shake help

So I am looking for things to add to my shake in the morning.

I started having a shake because it was the only way I could choke down avocado. It's good for you, good fats, blah blah blah; but I actually have gotten to like my shakes.

I keep tweaking it a bit but atm this is what it is.
8 oz Almond Milk
1/2 Avocado
1/2 cup or so of spinach
1 Tbs unsweetened Cocoa powder
1 heaping tablespoon of milled flax seed.
1 (ok maybe 2) Tbs of peanut butter

I am trying to keep the sugar as low as possible, and obviously the carbs as well, but I am just not sure what else to add. I don't want to add berries or fruit because of the sugar, and I REALLY despise the texture of seeds in my drink.

I am also trying to hit most of the important nutrients in it so I don't have to take supplements also.

I admittidly eat a LOT of Broccoli, probably 5x a week at least

I have to mention... I was at bout 80-100 units of insulin a day on a pump, and im currently at 30-40 units a day. Im down 14 lbs at least!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a58cf7fdd9.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d267db7c9d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...0e93739492.jpg

Have you tried toasting the flax seeds? It really adds a nice flavor.

Hard to say what you could change on the shake without knowing what you want to do with the rest of your meals.

But one suggestion would be to try soaked chia seeds instead of the flax seeds. I don't have much experience with chia seeds but I've seen lots of recipes in which people use them as a thickener (not a bad property for a shake) and in puddings, and I wouldn't think they'd use them in puddings if they stayed very crunchy.

the flax seeds are Milled so they are already ground down :-) I dont even notice them tbh.

Ahh, I missed the "milled". Well, chia seeds still might be an addition to consider, though it might seem like one more complication to you given a need to address their texture as well.
