I'm slow to come around to paranoia, but this article is helping me be frightened about our Pharma system...tonight it was announced that a large study/expensive study is about to begin on Alzheimer's disease and it may turn out to be a good one, but this points out that a much cheaper one should have been done earlier, but hasn't.

Makes me sad that we're this far out of touch with meeting the needs of people. Guess I've got to go get a piece of our wonderful fudge and feel better!

I don't understand how one reseacher can be testing CO and its use as a precusor for ketones that aid in this disease and the foundation says it not proven yet.

Many years ago I stopped giving money to lots of these organizations because of this very practice. They will never approve a cure that you can buy on your grocery shelf. If big pharma can't make billions off these new drugs these organizations will not support them. I have a brother who is a Research Scientist at MIT and gets these types of grants. He spends much of the year going to conferences put on by these drug companies ( all expenses paid). If I had a loved one with Alzheimers I would not wait 20 years for research to come up with a cure. I would start with the CO ASAP. Alzheimer's is such a destructive disease you need to attack him right away.
