Default Newbie and need advice.

I've been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes for nearly a year now. I've wanted my nose pierced for years but I don't know if it's safe enough? Any advice or anyone who's had theirs done?

Welcome aboard!

While I can't speak for piercings, ice gotten several tats since DX with no issues. Just make sure you've got good control before and let your piercer know about your condition before an you should be fine.

I've got numerous tattoos too, but piercings I'm not so sure about. Different really plus nose is more prone to infection

I would ask your doctor, but I doubt it would be a problem. My daughter had hers done and wore a post for a year or so and then let it close up. She never had any problems with it until she went on job interviews.

In the UK employers tend to take a dim view of piercings.
