Default My Dreamfields experiment

Well tonight I took the plunge and tried Dreamfields pasta. DH and I dearly love our homemade spaghetti sauce full of ground beef, tomatoes, garlic, celery, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, bay leaves and red wine, topped with freshly grated parmesan. I figured the only way to know how Dreamfields treats me was to go for it. Waiting now to test at one and two hours PP. Wish me luck!

Be sure and test at 3 and 4 hours too - it's known to have delayed spikes.

And oh yeah - GOOD LUCK

Will do, Moon - I remember reading that here. One hour PP was 120. Keeping fingers crossed!

My first experiences with Dreamfields were sometimes even a drop in BG, but do continue testing - it can throw you some real curves. I can still tolerate it if I don't go completely ape with it.

Three hour PP number was 97 - bullet dodged! Well I guess I can't say for sure until I see what tomorrow's fasting number is.

How much did you have? I have avoided it like the plague and used shirataki instead

Really a better result than tested by Diet Doctor Andreas Eenfeldt. But I don´t know, perhaps some persons can stand Dreamfield´s pasta. Here is the test from Diet Doctor and not very kind words from him:

Jenny Ruhl has also published on Dreamfields - Diabetes Update: Study Finds Dreamfields Pasta Produces Identical Glucose Curves as Regular Dry Pasta

I trust both Dr. Eenfeldt and Ms. Ruhl as wise and honest purveyors of facts as they find them. My meter tells a few facts as well - it says I can eat small amounts - not minuscule, but small amounts - of Dreamfields. So occasionally I do. Perhaps ordinary pasta would be the same - perhaps someday I'll run my own test. But for now on rare occasions, I eat Dreamfields.
