Default Tick Bite Gone Bad

So we finally made it back home. South Carolina to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. We liked it there but Beryl decided to chase us out on Wed last week so we went to the Shenandoah National Park and stayed in Skyland Lodge, we were there 25yrs ago for our first anniversary. We stayed there for a couple of days then on Friday headed to Pennsylvania to see my Nephew get married on Sat. A funny story unfolded on us most unexpectedley on Saturday. Brother and his wife had to leave early to go to the church, so here we were by ourselves, had plenty of time, all dressed up, got in the car, turned the key, nothing, I mean absolutely nothing. I tried to call everyone, but all had their cell phones off. The only person I could call was my Nephew and he was getting married in about 30 minutes. Man I felt bad. He got a neighbor to come over and give us a jump, we missed the wedding and went directly to the reception. Spent 2 days getting home.

Now to get to the tick bite gone bad. Of all places a tick could latch on me it did just above the area were they took out my vein to replump my heart. I found the tick on Saturday night, by Wed the infection was the size of a quarter, by Friday its grown to a silver dollar. I see a round of some serious antibiotics in my future. I attached a picture, you know I like to share sqeamish things like this.

Wow - that looks not good! I hope you have taken yourself to the doctor by now. That is nothing to mess around with.

Marty, I would get to the dr right away. And watch that very carefully. It looks like it is developing a ring around it which could signal Lyme disease. I have a friend with Lyme and that is nothing to fool with!!
