Default Looking for Endocrinologist in St. Louis

I recently moved to STL and am looking for a good endocrinologist to help manage my T1 diabetes. My last doc had A1C testing machines in his office so I didn't have to go to a separate lab to get that done--loved not having to drag my kids to a lab. I called 6 diff docs today and none of them have the ability to test A1C in-house... does this exist anywhere in the STL area? Even if your doc doesn't have it, I'd still appreciate any recommendations. THANK YOU!!

Also--one office said that I need to keep track of my sugars and bring them with me bc they don't have the ability to download numbers from my meter or pump (which my last doc did). Is this normal here?

I'm not in St Louis so can't help there, but after reading this some time ago, I decided to insist on outside labs for my A1Cs. I'm not sure how much difference it makes, since A1Cs aren't the scientific measurements (or else, it's hard to know exactly what it's measuring in us individually) I used to believe they were, but ...

I just went to one endocrinologist, and now use an internist, but that endo did download from meters, or at least some brands. Could you download to your computer and then do a print-out, or email to them? That could be a workaround if you find an endo you like otherwise.

I think the docs who do HbA1c's in their office probably just use the home kits which we can buy at the drug store. I think they are pretty accurate but a lab is probably a much better option. I am not in the St Louis area so can't help you with docs.
