Hey Jack same for me today with an 88

Been a good couple weeks for me , really watching my diet and working to keep my numbers in check. Not easy for any of us but I can say that the hard work does pay off. Lots of help here and others that appear to have also ridden the roller coaster that I was riding , makes me feel not so alone in the way I was feeling. Thanks to this forum and everyone here.

Today so far. FBG 105, breakfast +1hr 106, +2hr 105.

Just discovered I forgot last nights meds, and this mornings. OOPS, just took this mornings, only 3hrs late.

I've not been around much the last couple weeks. I tried cutting back on my testing, but that also seemed to cut back on my control. Testing 9times perday I usually stay under 110, when I was trying to cut back to save on strips, my fasting was 115-120, and had spikes around 140.

I know what you mean. I just noticed a 5% Club on the Blood Sugar 101 page. All my docs last year would just shake there head at that. They kept telling me 155 wasn't bad after meals an I needed 1/2 my food in carbs. And seemed really happy if I was at 6.5. Guess if I was lower like am now I cut into there business. Oh well. I have a new young doc and I'll see how open he is today. He seemed really to want to know how I got from 13 to 5.1 A1c. This year is going to be great. I now have some resources in this board with my common goal. I do not want to just slow down the bad things. I want to see how much I can reverse and what I can get back that l gave up.

Another YMMV issue - each of us is different. If eight hours gives you your best reading, that is when you should test (Is this done upon awakening for the day, or just counting eight hours after you eat? When you first waken for the day is best). And immediately after you test, be sure to eat a handful of nuts or a piece of full-fat cheese or some fatty sausage to stop the rise until you are ready to eat breakfast.

76 (4.2) this morning, 75 (4.15) at bedtime.

About 4" of snow on the ground. Exercise for today will be shoveling the snow off my porches and path to the garage!

A 103 after a 2 1/2 hour nap. After 37 years of shift work I don't fight staying awake after the last night of graveyard shift.

4.7 this morning. Some snow during the night and a temperature of -3 C (27 F). Visiting friends yesterday. For dinner a soup containing some pasta. Don´t know my figure after the meal, but anyway a satisfactory number this morning.
