66 (3.65) this calm sunny day, 74 (4.09) at bedtime.

I haven't had a banana or a part of one since dx. Sometimes I look longingly at them in the store, but then when I think what they would do to my numbers I pass them by. Sadly....

I think you guys in the midwest and beyond are getting the wind I had a couple of days ago.... I'm sure not sorry to see it go...sorry you have to experience it though.

My son let me sleep in today.....110!!! Chances are that i did not catch the liver dump. Hope its just that. 110 looks a little unrealistic.

Strips here are so expensive! I am planning to test myself only twice- post dinner and fasting. My fasting goes down only if i keep my post meals in control. So maybe i will just keep that as a parameter for now and test post meals only when i have something out of the ordinary.

Ugh! From a 5.6 yesterday to a 6.5 today. I swear my meter reversed the numbers just to mess with me!

110 this morning, and it's good to know that someone else's meter also messes with them.

110 this morning. Mary, Tish, yes, presumably the eating rules are different for T1s. Technically speaking, I could eat anything provided its covered by insulin. Trouble is, its rough getting the carb count accurate while taking into account exercise, etc., and then over-correcting when glucose goes haywire. Then, I get the wild swings associated with "brittle" diabetes during which I may go from 30 to over 600 in a day. So, its easier to stay away from carbs and keep insulin doses as low as possible especially if you're insulin sensitive. Used to think it'd be easier to be T1, but its still much the same problems associated with T2.

Seems like the glucometers around the world are stuck at 110 today!

102 (5.7) today. 90 (5.0) 2 hrs later still fasting. Rained again overnight and the Sun is out this morning.

Tamagno, Barbara, D to me is just annoying. I went to a very popular restaurant with a deli for take-aways, Giovanni's. I had the most delicious creamiest decaf cappuccino and right in front of me is a little poster with Portugese petite milk tart. Well I had one, but I gave the bananas a miss.

Be that as it may, CD where are those happy optimistic people again. Im awake.
