116 (6.4) this morning -- will continue the fight to get double-digit numbers. Just got A1c results, 5.8 this time (5.3 last time), going to work on getting it back down, but I'm pretty OK with this number. Any help is appreciated! Without LCHF I would be NOT OK at this point, so thank you everyone for your help and support!

I'm not sure but I think I have a slightly higher A1c because my exercise has been less extreme -- I quit running, now I ride a bike and play tennis and hike and do Aikido twice a week, which is all good, but less intense, so maybe that matters (but the new exercise regimen is more sustainable since my legs will work better longer I hope)

My latest (small) discover was in the grocery store -- I eat a fair amount of peanuts sometimes at work and I noticed that the "dry roasted " ones have some cornstarch, the "cocktail peanuts" have about 7 g of carbs (3 g fiber so 4 g net carbs), and the "spanish red peanuts" are even better (less net carbs), so I'm going to see how they taste. Small things can make a difference, I think.

I'm out of control. 10.2 this morning. After dinner was 12.2 and 12.0. 8.0 before dinner. No carbs (like rice, pasta, couscous or potato, but grilled fruit and maybe a half cup of vanilla ice cream for dessert - was my anniversary!!). Before lunch was 9.5. About to test my post lunch. Starting to suspect a gluten intolerance. Not celiac, but possibly gluten intolerance I had a sandwich and within an hour needed a washroom.

73 (4.0) this morning, 66 (3.65) at bedtime.

Thunderstorms in the forecast for us through Thursday. I don't mind them really, but it is humid/sticky today, and I don't like that!!
