Just home after a swim in Öresund ( the strait between Denmark and Sweden). The chocolate? Yes, it´s Lindt 100 g from Switzerland containing 90% Cocoa. Nutrition info says 14 g carbs in total and sugars 7g for the whole cake so I think I can have a piece of it now and then (but this night I had half of it...)

Two bad readings off my meter this morning, first was a 7.8 ... thought to myself "not a chance!" So took another, second reading was 7.1 ... now getting concerned since my fasting numbers are usually fairly consistent. Washed my hands, got 5.1, then 5.3 .. and another 5.1 as the tiebreaker. Burned 5 strips before 7:30 am!

Hmmm. Just remembered something. I just had steak and celery root "mashed potatoes" last night for dinner. Nothing special. Started at 98 and one hour was 109. Not bad. But I had a full pound steak. Maybe my FBG today is a protein kick?

As if diabetes is not confusing enough. Do we need to add the different meters to the boat, to confuse us even more. Never a dull moment.

No kidding. Had my normal very low carb breakfast and now it says 124 two hours later!! Horseplop!!!! Big steaming pile of Horseplop!!!!!

That breakfast normally will have no effect and not only does it say an effect, but a big spike!! No way. Uh uh.

This meter better get with the program and fast or else it's going in the trash!

Nothing to be sorry for. If I don't try and joke about what's going on I'd be so angry at what's going on I think I'd literally be seeing red.

Shared large popcorn with daughter at a late movie last night. Now wake up to 148. Well, that was foolish! Oh well, it's another day.
