Same thing happened to me last weekend. I though popcorn was a "safe food" for me since when I make it at home with my http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YE1odAzKT8...ey-popper.jpeg my blood sugar barely moves. But the movie theater popcorn did the same thing to me as it did to you. Wonder what's in it?

I discovered the wrath of popcorn as a new diabetec. I am dining italian tonight and think I will just be sensible and 'slip-up'. Its my mindless conscience, my new sensibility on occasion.

Up early this afternoon. A 96 (5.3). I thought I heard a distinct SNAP when going to the online BG converter. Same number as yesterday, still sitting there waiting to be read.

68 this morning, 80 at bedtime.

Took my fbg, ate a laughing cow strawberry and went back to bed as I still felt tired. Woke up 3 hours and a bit later and still felt fuzzy. Ate a hard boiled egg and checked bg 68 still!! Now getting a little nervous. Ate breakfast...another egg, 2 bacon and 2 cups of coffee loaded with HWC and CO. 1 hr 88, 1.5 hr 87, 2 hr 78, 2.5 hr 72. (just took the 2.5 hr @ 2:35)

Was/Is that a hypo??? I've had #s in the 60's a couple times before but never felt this fuzzy, tired feeling before. The only things I have in the house that are sweet are some dried apricots and frozen blueberries. I do have some glucose tabs in my purse and about a cup of real sugar. Should I have taken sugar or a tab when I first got up the second time w/68? Food brought bg up, but not much and now it is going down again. Am I stressing needlessly? I'd hate to create a big spike by eating sugar...... don't quite know what to do.

Oh and by the way my fasting ketones this morning were 4.8....

grammaB - 68 isn't hypo, someone else can say what number to look for, I think in the 50's. But am wondering about your 4.8 ketones. That seems high for fasting; wonder what your daytime ketones are? Since you weren't hypo, it is probably fine, but I'd think worth watching and you're right to test frequently.
