I never run a fasting lower than 150...I was a 109 this morning and a 119 yesterday!!! What is different is that I have done a 20 minute exercise dvd after dinner or even later...I dislike exercise ..but this plus the LCHF diet plus the Forum might be the answer...too bad I have to be 64 ( triple bypass and 3 stents later) to get it....Thats OK I am very thankful and know it is a daily battle....It is a beautiful day in the desert today.:nod::nod:
Hi, I didnt know peanuts were bad or I would not eat them. I thought it was good, so I bought some.
I think I will just go 'green'. All this can and cannot is driving me a little dotty. Green is easier in summer, and its our winter till end Aug when one looks for warmer foods, but we have lovely warm days in-between like this week. So back to salads with occasional seafood.
Peanuts aren't a "nut" - they are actually a member of the legume family. They pack quite a carbohydrate punch, so from our point of view "moderation" is the word!
Much better are things like Walnuts, Pecans, Hazelnuts and Almonds. An ounce or two of those make a much better snack for us
121?!? What the heck? Could it've been the cashews I had for dinner? I mean like my WHOLE dinner. I ate almost a cup of 'em thinking they were basically carb-free.
163 for me. The addition of Artane to my med regimen for myoclonus has helped some. The really violent shaking and jerking is reduced to only two bad episodes a day - worst at night before bed when I'm tired. I can't tell if this is related to glucose swings or not. I'm following with interest the adventures of you all in Sweden and S. Africa. I have a few friends in Durbin, but I've never been able to get a sense of what it looks like. Anybody want to post some photos?
Tamagno are you looking for pictures of Durban-KZN or is there a place Durbin? I havent tried posting a pic, but would like to assist if I can. I hope you feel better and I noticed that your numbers have come down
My fasting blood sugar was 117. I am on Lantus also. You should never skip meals because your blood sugar drops too low. Eating lightly helps to curb low's, Have a snack before each meal.
I don't consider cashews and peanuts to be high carb in the quantities I eat, and also I'm at 100g of carbs per day so I can stand some carbs in my snacks.
A low 4.3 this morning although I´ve not slept so well.
