First day in a long time i took my big girls (dogs) for a walk around the park. I got my exercise fo sure the white dog nearly pulled me in the pond chasing after ducks and the black one nearly ran me into a tree running after another duck. Most of the walk i wondered who exactly was walking who today...this evening im not feeling to well. Bg up to 200. Cant seem to get settled into a nights rest. Its too hot and because i dont feel well. Hope there is a better day for me tomorrow. Yup im thinkin it was my son's delicious spaghetti . I did notice i can only have 1/4 c of that along with 1/2 c veggies.....i hope all of you had better day than me. Course i did enjoy the quality time spent with my family (the dogs)

Ah, so the spaghetti's the culprit! A few people here have made squash spaghetti. I haven't, but plan to try it when I get a bit of free time. Also, if you have a bug coming on, it can raise your BG. Hope you feel better soon.

I had Optimist crackers today, just two 17 gram servings.. With butter and half ounce of cream cheese. I saw my BGs go from 84 to 104. This was extremely disappointing. Later, it was hard to get them down no matter what I ate. What gives?

I have been taking 2000 mg metformin for several years. 1000 in morning and 1000 at night. 3 months ago Dr. changed me to 500 morning and evening. My blood sugar went wild. One afternoon BG over 250. I changed back ...todays high 112.

The doc is cutting me back, too. They say that your BGs will take about 3 weeks or more to regulate itself back to where you are used to being. Don't be scared! I'm going through the same thing.

Well I could kick myself, I was 77 before dinner. I ate the wrong food, I knew I was doing it, and spiked to 200.

I think it was breading I wasn't aware of in my 1/2 salmon cake plus the 4 carbs in the GG Bran Crispbread. Anyway, PP reading after dinner is 178, and awful high number for me. We'll see how much it comes down by bedtime....dang this is hard.
