One Touch Ultra-Easy = HI
I'm guessing you made a type since 3.2 carbs/100mg equates to 32 carbs/gram Even at 3.2 carbs/gram, that's tons unless you cut yourself a quarter of a slice that could weigh in at 2 g or so.

Yesterday I tested just before lunch and was surprised to see my bgl was 11(198). Breakfast had been a latte with1cup of milk plus some blueberries with cream. I had nothing else between breakfast and lunch. So I am wondering if it was because I was working outside in the heat or because of something I ate the day before?
Thoughts anyone?
Deb

You had a high-carb breakfast, and mornings are often when we're most carb-sensitive. I would've zoomed up there on milk also.

Usually if it ends in 8 and has closing parenthesis it makes a smiley. 8) 8.0)

Yup, a good ol' typo there! lol. I meant 3.2 carbs per 100g.

Perhaps try adding water to heavy cream until it's a consistency you like?

I find that I get most of my spikes when I eat something that I am not familiar with. I do not eat out often because it is frustrating eating and not knowing what that food is going to do to you. When I do eat out, I try to order some simple fish, chicken or beef dish and ask for simple vegetables (usually broccoli). I ate a salad a month ago and an hour later my sugar was 169. I could not take insulin to cover that many carbs, since I did not know there were that many carbs in the dressing. So it annoyed me and I know not to get that salad again. So most of my spikes will be from food I am unfamiliar with (that is why I try to eat at home as much as possible). But on occasion, I have to take my family out to dinner, as it is not fair to them to never go out to dinner.
