Do stress and emotions contribute in high blood sugar?

In a word - yes.

Stress will also do unkind things to your blood pressure, something else we have to manage. However now that you've found the forum, I hope you'll discover that this condition - whilst it is a pest - is a pest that can be managed and that might help with your stress just a bit.

Emotional or mental stress also puts the body in "fight or flight" mode and hence the rise in BG.

Oh yeah. I noted somewhere else that about 6 years ago, I was so infuriated with my then supervisor, I had to go to Urgent Care. My blood pressure and blood sugar went through the roof. Medications were changed.

Meditation is part of my program these days....
