Default sad news

I just heard a good friend of someone I know (19 yr old T1) was rushed to hospital yesterday with hyperglycemia bg over 55 mmol, in intensive care, doesnt look good. She is so young and has a baby so i'm passing any karmic credit I have to her and praying she can make it through. What a horrible reminder of why we have to look after ourselves.

Hoping things go well.

When I was DX I had a BG over 80 on your scale. I know it's scary for friends and family. Keep positive.

80?? I didn't realise you could go that high. I can't begin to imagine how ill you must have been. Still had no news on her condition yet, all I know is she is still in intensive care. Thanks again for your kind words, it must be tough being insulin dependant as a young person, ive only been on insulin since age 37 so I consider myself lucky in many ways.
