Nah this one is not diabetic -- she is an attorney locally. But of COURSE, she knows alllll about nutrition!
EVEN managed to mouth the platitude, "no one diet is right for everyone." Well I told her to at get her 25(OH)D checked next time she has a physical, anyhow.
I have a method of coping with these people. I look them in the eye smiling blankly and visualise smacking them on the head with a large cast iron frying pan. Another one I like, although they need to be tallish and slim rather than small and rotund in order for me to pull this off, is to imagine folding them in two and kicking them like a football towards an imaginary set of goal posts. I use an Australian Rules football in my fantasy but I don't see why an American football wouldn't work just as well. In fact it just dawned on me that if it is a small rotund person a soccer ball would do. Bend it like Beckham!!
Guess I said my piece, if her diet ever fails her, she might remember what I said.[/QUOTE]
I will say my peace when need be, but I just say "whatever" and walk away from such ignorant people. :loco:
