Here is a better version -- Mummy study shows clogged arteries are nothing new - Vitals

It actually proposes (at the very end) that INFLAMMATION is the cause of atherosclerosis!

Default Biting Sarcasm

I have heard a lot of theories about arterial plaque and atherosclerosis.
I like the one about human tribal members living beyond their born, mature, breed, die cycle to contribute to the tribe's work and defense instead of bleeding to death internally at around 30 years old thus relieving the tribe of spent breeders (as nature originally intended). This could be remedied (but not cured ) by creating a drug that stops arterial plaque from forming so our leaky arteries can make us bleed to death instead of living twice as long as we should. This might relieve the Medicare crisis. We might call this drug "statin-like". This might upset some people so we might need to dumb them down by contaminating their water with a fluoride and other toxic industrial waste.
For people not quite dumb enough to buy into this we could put them in FEMA camps without a trial for being antisocial or possible terrorist. This may not be necessary as I notice a lot of people take the poisonous drug with little engagement of their brains.

Or is this already being done? Just Joking Really

Of course this post is total hogwash but not too far from other comments I have seen on this forum lately like cancer cells not having insulin receptors or NOT using insulin.
