Exactly! Its madness. Is it going to do the job or not? Not sure if taken on its own. I think my doc is obsessed with my cholesterol bringing on a heart attack as a D in particular. I just cant get excited about it , the heart attack I mean:D

I feel fine now, and see no reason why i should go make myself sick with a pill which MIGHT work.

Now if it was the one Daytona is working on:D , need I say more.:bounce:

The older ones have been sold down the river ...

May I add foxl's corollary to his statistics? 43% suffer side effects; the other 57% have not yet exhausted their CoQ10.

I was on it almost 3 yrs, and WHAM the pain began. It was like my mitochondria were reading the calendar ...

Yep. I latched onto the young chemist's percentages thinking he would have a more updated study.

The older ones are stuck or dare I say outdated. The doctors of course' ego's get bruised, if one argues with them. Mine had a subtle sarcasm and asked me what he could do for me at my last visit. In a way its hard to blame them if that is all they have, being dependent on what is available. Its a double -edged sword.

I was on it for about 6months when I noticed a marked difference in my agility. I felt completey slowed down. I dont have a strong immune system and I used to take an asprin for all my little ailments prior to D. Anything stronger than that, I would have a voilent reaction to, hence my resistance to meds. oi.

My son got engaged to his girl last week who is a doc, and he told me not to shoot her down when we discuss medicine. He says it makes her feel bad. Oh dear.....

How can 25.8m people in the US alone be so badly affected and doctors havent noticed if what he says is true. And if they have, it is outrageous by numbers alone.

Im just glad, that Shanny mentioned it to me when I needed to hear it.:)

I don't know about other countries or other parts of the US, but where I live the 'goal' of Doctors here is to have a certain percentage of diabetic patients on a statin drug. They get rewarded by the health system they are employed by for keeping their patients on statins. I was told before Christmas, when I refused their "offer" of statins for my high cholesterol, that I was making their practice look bad (and of course no Dr. wants to look bad - right?).
