Default nebulizers

Can anyone tell me if they use a neb machine as I do ,how is your mouth.
I am using Salbutamol 2.5\ 2ml and Ipratropium Bromide 500 mmgs in 2 ml together every 4 hrs .
My mouth is so sore and it tastes of salt all the time. I get the shakes also but know that is a side effect of Salbutimol. Does anyone get this problem as the salty taste is horrid and can't get rid of it at all

I apologize, but unfortunately I know nothing about nebulizers.

BUT ... maybe my answer will bump this thread closer to the top, so folks have another chance to read your post.

(I've started threads here that get few -- or no -- answers, too. It happens. Sometimes my timing's off. But we don't leave people out intentionally.)

Well, I didn't answer because altho' I've used them years back, the drugs were different, Jen. Similar, but different. I do know I had to rinse my mouth out afterwards and chewing gum helped a good bit. I had to keep my mouth moist.

Maybe this will help?

Hope you are doing better now.

It is probably the Bromide, which is a salt and be very drying. Have you tried some drops for dry mouth. I believe they are glycine or glycerol. Are these drugs for COPD or Asthma

These are the some of the drugs to try and heal the patch they found on the scan in my lung old post op pneumonia from 2 yrs ago that went undiagnosed . they want it cleared up a bit before my operation on the 14th. I now have used all the gels ,drops the pharmacist offered. it is just getting worse ,If I leave it hopefully they may decide not to operate next wk. But having epidural so probably will. thank you I will query the bromide and ask if I can use sterile water instead.

Could it be possible that those sprays have killed off the protective bacteria in your mouth resulting in a bad case of Thrush. When you get up in the morning does your mouth have a white pasty coating on it. The doc maybe able to call you in a medicine for it.

No for the first time I can remember my tongue is nice and pink , I have tried nystatin cream also for in case it was thrush , but this started in hospital . I just want to taste food and not feel sick cost of the salty taste.

Has anyone heard from Jen? I think her surgery was yesterday. If anyone hears from her by message or otherwise, let us know. We were talking through messages for a day or two, but I haven't heard from her since she went in for her surgery the other day.
