Default Wish me luck! I'm sooo nervous!

I am on my way out the door as soon as I post this message. I'm going to interview a new doctor to see if she is a good candidate to be my new primary care physician. I'm soooo nervous. Anxiety is a MAJOR ISSUE for me.

Just be sure you can be confident this new doc would work for you, not the other way around. Ask good questions about their treatment knowledge of diabetes and its various complications, and get a sense for feelings around low carb WOE.

Good luck -- it's hard to change docs and find one you can trust.

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone.

Not sure how I feel about my appt today. She asked why I was looking for a new GP and I told her. Then she asked for my list of meds. I handed over the sheet of paper I wrote them all down on and she went 'whoa' 'that's a LOT of meds'.

She asked what each one was for and she paused and said 'to be perfectly honest with you, I, or any other GP is not going to be able to help you any better than your current GP. She said I am considered to be a 'complex patient' and that I needed to go to a place who dealt with a person with my 'needs'. Turns out that place is in the exact same building as my diabetics clinic. So, closer to home, lots of parking, FREE parking BUT

I'm one sick kitty.
