Default Trying new program

I bought a new program which is a speech recognition program called Dragon Rider. I first started using Dragon Rider about 10 years ago called Dragon 4. The program I just purchased is named Dragon 12.5... I can assure you they have made great strides in improving this newest version. I have corrected two error was so far in this paragraph. However this is the first time I have actually used it in a forum. Just to show you how good it works I am not going to correct any of the next paragraph.

I plan on spending a lot more time in the forms now that I have been the Dragon Rider program. It is so much easier for me to just talk in the Mike and enjoy looking at my words printed on the screen. As you can see a few mistakes have been made by the program however however this is actually the first time I've really used it for dictating. All in all it's done a pretty good job out of the box.

Consequently if you see a word that doesn't make any sense that I've written is probably because I tried to spend it myself or Dragon failed to understand my southern drawl.

Bugg :-) tickled to death with his new toy.

P.S. Have any of you ever used Dragon or any other speech recognition program and if so, how do you like it?

I tried Dragon many years ago when it first came out in the late 1990's because I was battling carpel tunnel. It was hilarious, and a lot more work to correct than just to slog through without it. No matter how much I trained it, like the others, it would not accept my Southern accent!

I'm sure it has come a long way baby since then - and really, if we see odd words in your posts, we'll think it's autocorrect! It's quite fashionable

I purchased Dragon Naturally Speaking V12 a while ago and have not gotten around to taking the time for training. Lazy, I know, and I should as my typing is lousy. Glad to hear you like it, I will have to take the time to get to know it.

I have several clients who use it and love it. I personally have never used it for "pleasure" myself, only when working on client systems so it is very rare I have dealings with it.

Like MCS I use the one on my phone but only when talking to my tends to have a very hard time understanding my southern drawl too!

Version 12 of this program is absolutely wonderful. It takes very little time to train, unlike the old programs which took weeks or more. It is quite obvious however that the developers were not from the deep South. We have a tendency not to pronounce each syllable of every word and also to draw out certain words. Version 12 quickly picks up on these nuances.

Make sure your computer has at least 2 GB of RAM memory. I paid $99 for version 12.5.

bugg :-) y'all just gona love this program
