Thank you so very much for caring. I have no fear of being low or going hypo. I don't have any low symptoms until I am under 40. I freak out when I am over 150. I remember the first time I went low, I panicked and it made the situation worse. Pam, I remember some of your posts and didn't you decrease your Lantus dose? I have been adjusting my dose, but very slow. Do you think it would help me to make a larger decrease and see what happens? I have an appointment to see my doctor in 2 weeks, I really don't want to wait to talk to him to make a large change. He is confident in the fact that I am conservative and have enough knowledge to make changes. I think you are very knowledgeable about diabetes and would welcome your suggestions!

I only had to decrease mine by 10 to pretty much get rid of my lows. I would think you should be able to back off at the same rate they told us to increase and still be safe. If you went a little faster what is the worst that could happen? You have one day of a higher blood sugar. To me that would be better than constantly going low. When I went to my Dr and told them I was going too low they dropped me by 10 all at once and told me I could tweak it up if I needed to.

Keep us posted!
