Realizing this is just an observational study on my part, I need the advice of others that have done similar studies. I started partaking of some Merlot before bed. The first 2 mornings my fasting BG have been in the one teens. This morning, after having consumed the last of the wine last night, I have a 93 (5.2). My conclusion is that the good stuff is in the bottom of the bottle. My first thought was I need smaller bottles or larger Mason goblets. Interested in others thoughts of other possibilities.

Bless you, and thanks Muck. Feeling a little better this morning, was meant to socialise with work colleagues last night but,
full of guilt I pulled out and slept loads. Long day ahead in New York Showrooms, then to airport for 9.20pm flight home...
I don't drink, just can't swallow alcohol at all...but I'm going to upgrade my flight seat and try to sleep. Can't face being stuck in a row of people with me needing visits to the restroom :-P.

4.3 this morning, no food in system and slept extra hours

Last night my BG decided it wanted to be low. No matter what I did it dropped below 3 several times. I cant imagine why it do that. I havent changed what I ate or did, but still I had to work really hard to make my BG steady.
When I finally wnt to sleep several hours later than normal it was steady on 3,5.
I slept longer than normal this day, and woke up with 4,0.

FBS: 67 mg/dl, a bit low, but it was my fault, I ate 300 grams of carbs yesterday! My body is a strange device!

I have few non-engineering friends because I like to espouse absurd semi-truths. Like my old 4 liters of cola diet was a high fat diet! Now you might say that I am so full of poop that my eyes are brown. But wait, fructose is only a sugar to a scientist, not to the human body. To the human body fructose is a sweet neuro-toxin and its' only way of neutralizing it is to convert it into triglyceride (saturated fat). So 55% of 1600 calories of HFCS is 880 calories of fructose which the body converts to about 98 grams of fat to neutralize it. Make sense? Probably not.

Well, I guess I should post this before I wake up and delete it.

89 this morning. Internet down again, so I had the TV on and I never do that in the day until late afternoon and was amazed at the food ads and features on the morning shows.

No wonder Americans eat too much! Shocking really.
