I still have not eaten, so I took my fasting again and it's still 108. I don't get how it stays so steady when I fast...

I'm going with my later number this morning, which was 216. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

When you got that nice low fasting reading, just be sure to eat something no-carb to prevent the liver dump. Without a piece of cheese or something, your liver still thinks you need to eat, so it graciously dumps glucose into your bloodstream to keep you from starving.

4.2 this morning, after a 6.4 at bedtime last night. I think that was stress and too much protein for dinner. There were some late glitches in the kitchen installation and I found myself trying to cook on the new cooktop with no instructions and utensils hidden in boxes. Too tired to make a salad to go with the fried chicken wings that I'd forgotten to defrost.

So I was expecting a higher fbg and am very happy with this. And I love the kitchen.

13C and yet another lovely sunny day ahead. So boring...

So are you planning on spending today sorting out your new kitchen?

Good FBG number after your protein hit!

The kitchen man is coming at about 9am to put in the last couple of hours, but after that I'll be into getting everything back in. I have so much more bench and cupboard space! And I had fun with the induction cooktop (which caused the delay. The kitchen man made up the cabinetry and then the sparky told him he needed to allow more air space under the cooktop, so the dishwasher came out again. When he put it back in, he discovered (at 6pm) that it had a different connector from the one he'd put in the waste.)
