How is everyone doing today? I tested at 53 this morning. I was awake at 5:30AM sucking on watermelon glucose tablets. I was sick last night and skipped dinner but still took my full dose of Lantus. Live and learn!

My name is Riet or also Maria,my bloodsugar was 5.0 this morning.I am on insulin for 40years.And lucky that we lived before 1920 otherwise we would have been some of the unlucky people who caught diabetes at that time and did not live very long.I am on Actrapid, and at night i also take Lantusolostar i have to check my BLG at about 2 in the morning as My bloodsugars can be very low,i als o have had lots of up and down's in my live but i fought back. This is all for now.Riet.

Wow hope you felt better soon. My body still feels hypo at 70. I have been reading a lot in all the books that came with my pump. I just finished reading last night about dealing with blood sugars when you are sick and they recommend even drinking some real juice if thats all you can keep down Guess they were right

Careful, gotta take care of yourself!

Cheers
Pam

Default Fbs 3/17/10

I tested at 54 this morning. Didn't feel hypo today. When I eat dinner early, my AM FBS is usually low.

Been higher in the last few weeks. I had been holding it down, but I think work stress is getting the best of me.
