I take Lantus and Victoza. Guess maybe I have found what works! Hard to believe lol :-)

Not sure why victoza over bolus insulin. Not a mix, or drug for that matter, I would use. Maybe for quick reduction of high BG but I would get off that as quick as possible and use a bolus insulin.

Please read the medication tab on bloodsugar101 about victoza and it's side effects.

Thanks David. I have read on it some. Headaches, nausea, and constipation are the side effects I'm having. I hope I never get the thyroid cancer from it :-( My hope is to be able to control my levels with oral meds or even diet if I can lose enough weight. I will check out bloodsugar101 again.

Here's the link - Byetta, Bydureon, and Victoza - and just let me say that some of this information is horrifying.

Another pertinent thought: Although weight loss may help a lot of things, it is not a cure, and should not be the priority. As regards our disorder, we need to focus strongly on lowering blood sugar, and let the rest of the chips fall as they may. Doctors will and DO say 'oh, just watch your diet and lose some weight'. Those doctors should be hung.
