68 (3.77) this cold windy morning, 84 (4.59) at bedtime.

33°F here and windy, no snow in forecast for days. Nothing like what you folks in the East are experiencing. Stay safe and warm and be careful shoveling that snow.

A 100 (5.6) this afternoon. Took about a 4 hour nap after last night of graveyard so as not to feel totally zapped by staying up or not sleepy tonight.

4.6 this morning. Still warm and no ice in the Baltic, which is very rare this time of the year. The icebreakers idle in the ports - no ships to assist.

164 this morning.

Mary, it's 1 degree here. We didn't get much more than the 4-5 inches we had yesterday morning. Very light, powdery snow due to the cold, so not hard to shovel except for the cold.

Despite the dire warnings, some few of us appear to have survived so far. I'm getting very, very tired of these apocalyptic weather forecasts!

I went in to the faculty meeting yesterday where we were greeted by a barrage of new possibilities/expectations with regard to technology. We basically are going to have to build our own textbooks with the look and feel of web sites, complete with chat rooms. Good grief.

82 this morning. Wish I could say the same about the weather, as it's a frigid 19 degrees here without factoring in the wind.

It finally stopped snowing here, so they're making headway in clearing the roads back here in the woods. I can even see peaks of sunlight on my neighbor's front lawn. Everyone enjoy their weekend. It's back to school Monday for the kids around here, as long as the weather holds up.

86 - three days in a row in the 80s. Two degrees this morning; snow total of about 10 inches. No mail delivery for two days. Had to go to the post office to pick up my test strips after they sat there for two days. Forties tomorrow - heat wave!

@Counsiler - Pick from
  • Dodgy strip
  • Dirty hands
  • Meter error
  • Infection
  • new improved recipe yesterday
  • One of life's great unsolved mysteries (it does happen).
Where did you expect to be? If you're more than 20% adrift a retest could be considered.

I expected to be <115 at least. I retested and got 122. I seem to have a LOT of meter errors lately. I am going to Dr. on Monday. Not feeling up to par so infection might be indicated. I was so proud of myself getting down to 22 carbs for the day I guess I just expected to see the carb intake reflected in the numbers.
