Your carbohydrate reduction will be reflected in your numbers but not always immediately. However, the reverse tends to be the case with an unplanned increase in carbs. That does seem to deliver its whammy at once and then slow down the return to normal. We just can't win with this condition! (But we sure can give it a fight!)

Hope your dr visit helps solve this puzzle. Getting down to 22g. carbs is AWESOME!

Are you past the Dawn Phenomenon? (Of course, you retested?) Take your temperature, too. Time will tell you.

Yo-yoing, a 108 (6.0) this morning. 36F overcast and 20% chance of precipitation. Expected to get to 55F so there is a positive.

110 this morning. I'm thinking the two pieces of cream cheese fudge I ate last night before bed may have had an effect. Totals 6g carbs and I rarely eat anything late but indulged myself. Another lesson in the life of a PWD.

66 this morning.

Supposed to be in the 60s this weekend, might have to take the dogs to the dog park and enjoy this heat wave!

Hope y'all have a wonderful Saturday. :-)

@ Wally -

I have found the same thing. I usually have a fat bomb or something similar after dinner and then stop eating. After that, it's just coffee (I am a late-nite coffee drinker), diet soda or water. It's brought my FBS way down and gives me better control throughout the day. I am finding that I actually am getting used to this routine pretty quickly.

Yeah Mary, like you I really have to keep a better track of my carbs. I need to keep under 25g for the day and actually do better when I am closer to 15-20. I'm not really worried about a 110 fasting but I think it's a good idea to keep track and work on staying the course.
