OK

Me and the cats can cope with 39 C after having suffered 44 C. It will be a cinch.

If my arthritis plays up I take extended release paracetamol which gives around 6 to 8 hours of enough relief so that I can sleep.

Just a thought.
Thank you, Freya. Although you were writing to Franxie, you have given me a clue about my rising morning blood sugar readings (up to 105/6 instead of the 95/6 I have been having.) I am having arthritis pain that wakes me on these very cold and changeable nights.

95 today morning. my son who usually sleeps by 8 30 PM (latest) was up till 12 night yesterday! I had an office conference call yesterday at 9 30 and i was walking him down the lobby and discussing chemicals and natural gas demand Talk about multitasking! I read a facebook post by me 3 years back on someone's timeline saying that i was too busy to breathe. Now i wonder what i did with so much of my time

I know these days will pass and i will miss them. And that keeps me going.

Hbs- I always wanted to get two dogs, one white and one brown. I thought of naming them kaju and badam- which means cashew and almonds. But just to confuse people I would name the white one as almonds and the brown one as cashews still a dream. I only have one white dog now. Her name is Peejoo. It means nothing. Just the only name she responded to

High again this morning. My wife was at least sufficiently fatigued to stay asleep and avoid giving me finger sticks every hour.

While I am most deeply appreciative of her love and concern, it has the habit of turning into obsession. Except while in coma or very low glucose, I tend toward clarity of mind and am quite capable of rational thought - a fact perhaps understandably missed by her.

She is the one, after all, who gets stuck with the EMTs, rides to the ER, etc., and has watched my slow decline. I would find it difficult were the situations reversed.

Oddly enough, however, I remain without fear as long as I can maintain some modicum of control over my health and destiny.

I'm off to school in the frigid cold and snow!

Back on track at 89 on this frosty morn. Nine degrees F, wind chill of -17, with flurries. I'm in the zone that got only a couple of inches of snow, so that's a relief. Looking forward to Saturday, when the temps are supposed to go above freezing again. Prepared for the cold spell by baking cream cheese muffins to go with a hot cuppa joe. Good times!

80 this cold morning.

Today's the second day my son's home with a horrible head cold. Hope it starts breaking up today. He had a four day weekend for the past holiday, and now has been off for two days for sickness. It's five degrees here as we speak. I was hoping they'd close school today, but apparently not. He's got his job again today while he's home - to go from the couch to his bed, to the recliner and rest.

Here's hoping he's better by tomorrow. The time away from the office during tax season is never welcome but I have come to accept it as the inevitable, as a parent.

Everyone stay healthy and warm!

A 95 (5.3) this morning. Cold again. Maybe a day or two in the next week that lows are above freezing, but no precipitation predicted.

Wth???? 112!!! Where did that come from

Only thing I can figure is either too much protein at dinner or the horrible dream right before I woke up and didn't have time for my system to recover. Stupid adrenaline
