Thanks Mary! Our youngest dog has never seen snow so it'll be an adventure for her

That's too cute. That will be fun. When my husband and I first met, he had a black lab. This dog absolutely refused to go out in the snow. He would sit at the door and plant himself in a position that made it difficult to even move him. My husband would be like, 'go on, go outside.' Many times, he ended up actually having to lift him up and carry him outside, and then back in.

I've seen other dogs that just have a ball in it. I had a German Shepherd that loved it and couldn't get enough of it!

Can't wait to take her camping, too! Our oldest dog Piper has been camping a lot, but Bella hasn't been yet. She's been to the beach in Galveston a few times and loved biting the waves! Until she inhaled some salt water and had to go to the emergency vet....now she just runs on the beach and tries to remember to not inhale the water lol

100--a banana called my name, and I couldn't resist. Could have had half, but noooo. Must grow up soon if I want to be healthy.

Don't think I got more than two hours of sleep in a row last night ; kept waking up with hip and/or knee pain or bathroom call. Fun.

More cold weather. Maybe I'll appreciate the summer more this year. Doubt it. Hate heat. Feel like I'm being smothered and burned. Ugh!

Enjoyed Gentle Chair Yoga class yesterday after a hiatus of seven months. If I keep going, I may be able to get off the blood pressure med.

Glad you're still with us, DLC!

Stay warm or cool, folks, depending on your location. Let's all have a great day!

102 this morning

I know 12 degrees F is not cold for some of you, but I don't want to get out of my warm house and go to work in it! Well, I wouldn't want to go to work today even if it wasn't 12 degrees to be totally honest!

Yup I know exactly how you feel on that banana thing , I was a little low a week or so ago and walked by the bananas on the counter and thought " great a few carbs and healthy so why not " was going to eat half but couldn't stop myself , gone. Bet you can figure out the reasults.

Headed to the city in a few weeks for a night just to get away. We always have a great time there , make it a point to go twice a year and always able to find new things to do.

Stay warm , looks like it's not going away any time soon.

113 this morning. Carbs were low yesterday, 10g total for the day, and pp after dinner was 95. Protein was higher than usual, especially at dinner. Hmmmmm, maybe I need to look closer at that. Food for thought ! ( I know, I know )

5.9. I ate laffa bread last night. But then I went to a concert to see my cousin's band, St. Lucia (they're awesome. Check them out. And I'm not just saying that because they're my cousin's band). Had a G&T and danced for a couple of hours.

It's about minus 457 here with a windchill of about a million below, so off I go to the dentist, where my teeth will have likely frozen and shattered before I get there.

OMG. I just went outside for a minute. The temp started here at-19 and went up to -11. It's so cold that our snow is actually frozen. Nope, never have walked on frozen snow before. They say next week's even gonna be even colder. Most years, our lake doesn't freeze when we look way out. This year, it sure has! On clear days, I can see Canada and it's all frozen as far as I can see out. My husband's a construction crew leader and his crew had to work today. Poor thing. Going to start the soup before he's even on his way home tonight. Bone-chilling cold here.
