Thanks DLC - nothing like a long weekend to make you feel patriotic!

Mary, the bacon (streaky and crispy), eggs (poached and runny), grilled tomato (only had half) and avocado (left the toast on the plate) were delicious! 2 hours later am BG 5.4.

The company of friends and former work colleagues was great too!

179 this morning.

Crankincraig, having lived in Manhattan for 25 years, I can safely say the only thing I miss are the restaurants, especially Indian food. Naturally, during those years the meals would have included large quantities of beer to cool down the vindaloo. I haven't any idea how I'd count carbs for that now!

Just to pile on, I'll mention that its cold here. All appropriate references from the "Sayings I Learned Growing Up" thread apply.

A 95 (5.3) this morning. 23F which is a degree warmer than yesterday. Clear and a high expected of 57F. High near 60 sounds warmer.

Nice numbers , I like the 87 but for some reason I like the 37 better yeah it is a heat wave . Sounds like we are going to also have a heat wave into the 20's here too.

Back to the thread , 118 this morning but a couple hours later getting up than usual so might have made me a little higher , who knows? Even after so many years it can still be hard to figure it out. Oh we'll can't change it , just part of the game.

Have a good day everyone!!

110 this morning.

The temp's up to 11 degrees and we got blasted with a major snow storm that's still going on. Heavy snow expected through tomorrow night, and then it's going to drop back to -20 or so, just in time for them to call off school again (during tax season) on Monday. Oh joy! Time for more juggling this week.

95 today. Expected to be a bit higher today. No BPT after dinner and had a bad peanut butter craving. The things I crave now. Lol

5.9. This morning. It snowed last night, but I haven't gotten vertical yet to see if it's still snowing.

Still cold and windy, that's for sure

Had friends over last night to welcome our friend from Israel. I made a HUGE pot of riced cauliflower and there isn't much left!! (Glad I made 2 heads!!). I've started cooking it in ghee and OMG does it taste good!!!! Made stew and meatballs, too. Had two (actually, 1, since they were cut in half) chocolate covered strawberries for dessert, no challah (just a nibble) and no tuxedo cake (not even a nibble)
