94 this morning. It seems that my DP may be driven by the amount of protein I am eating. I used the 1-1.5 g/kg of body weight to estimate how much I should be eating so I figured 70-105 g would be right for me, but even at 80g I see higher fasting numbers. When I have had total protein for the day at 60 or less fasting the next day has been in the 90's. I don't want to rob myself of needed protein but I am going to keep an eye on it and see if continues. If it's being converted to glucose I assume I am eating more than I need. Thursday I only had 10 carbs total for the day but 111 g of protein and Friday fasting was 113. Another good reason to keep track of all macros. I keep my c-f-p ratios right to maintain ketosis all of the time but I think I need to watch the protein.

Exactly! I find that when I keep carbs between 25 and 30, I can eat 2x that in protein, then 2x the protein in fat, ie: 30-60-120, perfect proportions!

82 (4.5) this cold overcast morning, 88 (4.87) at bedtime. I wonder if I am starting to get sick? I did take a bad fall a couple of days ago and have horrible bruises on my hip and both arms and am really stiff. Maybe that pushed up my numbers some?

Butter on steak person here too!! I especially like the Kerry Gold herb butter on meat or veggies.

@Walkerwally, I use FatSecret too. I probably should change my MFP entry from the can to their cup listing as I always eat the whole can at a sitting. So a couple of carbs were getting by me, I'll fix that!!

I am so sorry to hear of your fall! Were you on ice when you fell? The ice here now is treacherous. Rest, rest, rest!

Thanks Mary and Billi!

Actually I fell inside. Hardly any ice left outside here. I'm not really sure what happened, one minute I was walking toward the kitchen, next I was falling towards the corner where the living room and kitchen walls meet. I think my knee buckled under me (bad knees for a long time) or it was the new house slippers that kind of "stick" to the carpet sometimes. Not sure... I hit the corner with my r hip then fell on right elbow and caught myself with my left hand before I did a face plant on the floor. Very awkward. Nothing broken thank goodness, but low back is stiff and sore and the bruises are really ugly. Time will tell if it flares up anything in my back.

What a fall that was! Glad you didn't do a face plant as I did a year ago. Yep, I was just walking one minute and the next I was down…it happens so fast and easily. Do be careful as you are more likely right now. Hope nothing happens in your back.

4.5 this morning.

Sunny morning with top temp of 34C today. Public Holiday here today, Monday, so there will be a lot of people taking advantage of the weather and spending the day at the beach.

Sick Call:

Billi, glad your head is better.

Mark, hope that cold clears quickly.

Barbara, take care of yourself, hope you feel better real soon.
