Sending quick healing vibes for you!

A bit of a sleep in and paid for it with a 7.2 - but it was nice not to have a Monday alarm.

Public Holiday here today because Australia Day fell on a Sunday. A warm sunny 35c is predicted I think.

My dad, brother, oldest son and his fiancée are coming over for a Taco dinner which should be lovely.

Have a great day/arvo/evening everyone!

6.7 but that was after a broken night's sleep and my first cup of coffee for the day.

Buddhist philosophy has an interesting take on health issues. I was just talking to my Buddhist teacher on the weekend during our weekly prayer meeting about this because of my own health concerns.

Regarding the boil I've just had ... this morning as I woke I started thinking about how the staff at my job are all overworked and suffering stress but management isn't doing anything about this. As I was thinking about this I said to myself "arghhh that makes me so angry it makes my blood boil!". It then suddenly struck me like a lightening bolt - hmmm boil. Angry, red, inflamed. Well that boil certainly reflected my Life Condition. LOL! Maybe it was trying to tell me something. Wouldn't it be better to express my anger with constructive dialogue with my team leader rather than internalize it?

Anyway .. here endeth the lesson and my ramblings

Keep well ♥

Late post (as I'm about to go to bed)

4.9, which surprises me as I ate pasta AND popcorn last night. I suspect the walking to and from the stadium and subway may have helped.

Was very good at my nieces birthday party today and had veggies (and a small slice of pizza) and no delicious looking Elmo cupcake (she turned 4)

Today marks 1 year since my grandma passed away. I miss her terribly.

Anniversaries of the passing of loved ones is always difficult, particularly the early ones. Hope that the treasured memories of your grandma give you comfort today.

Did not check today morning but was 94 yesterday morning. Sorry havent been posting since awhile but we all were sick. I had conjunctivitis (pink eye) and had a horrible week. Everyone in my family wont get out of the blanket and sit in front of the tv with the remote and order stuff around. I wonder when i get to behave like that - i seem to have the same schedule and am running around irrespective of being sick or not.

How i love and hate being a mom at the same time!

105--thoroughly stressed out; spent most of yesterday on the phone talking my mother through a health crisis. She is very passive about her health, only doing something when there is a crisis. Sigh... I make up for it by being, as my doctor says, obsessive, about my own health. My yoga class is this morning. Never needed it more.

On the bright side, temps in the 40s today.

106 this morning.

Schools are closed again for today and tomorrow. Yet another arctic front made its way across the lake during the night last night. It looks horrible outside and I've been sick for two days.

Stay warm, everyone. It's miserable out there, if you're in the colder areas!

189 this morning. Slept straight through until nearly 5:00am. A new record.

Barbara, take care of yourself! Best pay close attention to any effected joints until you heal. Can be easy to overlook hairline fractures, etc. My mother-in law once continued gardening with a fractured hip.

Making my morning coffee differently in order to avoid spikes. Using heavy cream and butter plus a liquid sweetener. Have to look for the bulletproof coffee recipe - I know its around here somewhere.

I'm off to the endo this morning. Expect A1c to be a little high especially considering the last couple of weeks. Also, my basal rates and insulin to carb ratios are much lower than recommended as I've cut carbs dramatically. Should be interesting. I may ask about Symlin if I still get my post-coffee spike (which now never goes down without a couple of huge boluses).

Still cold here. We had some snow Saturday/Sunday with more expected. Hope it warns up soon; my wood pile only as another week or so left in it.
