90 (5.0) this morning
Tamagno, sure hope that you are able to get the lyme disease taken care of soonest. Could be a reason for some of the problems you have been experiencing lately. Hope for a speedy recovery.
Almost 130 and no apparent reason. Experiencing up and down bg's, tiredness and "stomach issues" off and on since Sunday AM. I did have a pneumonia and flue vaccines late Friday, but no fever, chills, etc. Bizzare. Oh well.
Vhm1, I have definitely had weird BG spikes from medications and supplements. Sometimes it seems like the liver is just looking for excuses to dump glucose.
iOS 8.0 does some interesting things, but I think is really not ready for use. It crashes and freezes apps and sites - like this one - frequently. Closing web sites is no longer obvious in Safari, but can be done.
Oh, CD, the start of term blues! Seems no matter how I try, things are never quite so smooth as i plan!
Although I agree that the iOS 8 crashes are indicative of a product that needed further polishing, the app crashes are typically the fault of the developers themselves for not updating the app to work with iOS 8. I haven't received notice that the app for this forum has been updated so I'm assuming it is still optimised for iOS 7 and therefore susceptible to crashing.
Yesterday was my first day teaching the preschool to Grade 3 teacher candidates and it certainly didn't go as smooth as I would have liked (but not badly either). As a result, I was blessed? with insomnia the entire night as I tried to overassess my performance. Oh well, we live and learn.
Woke up at 2:30 and could not go back to sleep.....87 so odd though, right before I went for my am walk it was 68 so I cut my walk time in half, after walking it went up to 71 so maybe the stupid Januvia is working too well, I even cut back 2units on the Lantus last night.
101 (5.6) this morning. Sometimes I feel like a yoyo, LOL. There is a cold front going through so temps will be a bit lower and supposed to be a 20% chance of rain Saturday, although that means an 80% chance of no rain so I'm betting on that.
Off to the Dentist in a while for a cleaning and I think I will get my flu shot today.
O/T: iOS 8.01 broke a bazillion things for people, they pulled it, I believe. I did not upgrade to that. I've heard its still possible to downgrade to iOS7. I'm contemplating having a go this morning, myself. iPhone5S, didnt get the 6.
5.8 this morning. O/T: iOS 8.01 broke a bazillion things for people, they pulled it, I believe. I did not upgrade to that. I've heard its still possible to downgrade to iOS7. I'm contemplating having a go this morning, myself. iPhone5S, didnt get the 6.
How are you all? I've come back to get back on the LCHF diet. This time it should be a lot easier than it was the first time.
I quit smoking 5 months ago (yipeee!) but ever so slowly I started slipping up on carbs. Then a month ago I was very sick with a gastro bug and after I recovered I just couldn't stomach eating. To tempt myself I turned to the comfort foods I had as a child which are crackers, butter and vegemite. It's all my stomach could handle for quite some time. But once i fully recovered I fell completely off the LCHF wagon and went crazy for carbs and sugar.
Oh and I feel woeful now. Fat, bloated, headaches, blurry vision, palpitations, tired with a capital T .... been there done that.
PS I'll start testing BG tomorrow. The last A1C I had was 5.3.
As for the iOS side of things, Apple has released iOS 8.0.2 today to fix the problems created by 8.0.1. I've installed it this morning and everything is working was it should at this point. I've not done extensive testing but I'm going to assume there will still be a few crashes as developers slowly update their apps. Some won't update which is unfortunate as some of my favourite apps will become redundant. Oh well, my iPhone 6 comes on October 3rd.
Judging from the hit Apple took on the market yesterday, I figure they'll fix iOS 8 pretty quickly. It looks as though the big problems hit the new iPhones when upgrading to 8.01.
CD, my problem is that the kids seem terribly fragile and defensive this year, unusually prone to tears and whining. Guess I'll have to back off yet more...
Tamagno I have nothing but respect for you and canadiandude. I have plenty of teacher/coaches in my immediate family and all you guys impress me. Give me a machine or computer system to work on and that I can handle, but working with our future (kids) scares me to death.
