We just make sure that we wash the skin really, really good since it goes throug a lot of handling. My son and BH both have GERD issues. My son's actually had it since the day he was born and he loves cucumbers. With the skin on, they don't bother him either. Strange sounding, I know!

FWIW, I never have peeled them, but I use a nail brush to wash them. Lots better than a vegetable brush.

That's a good idea. We usually use the vegetable brush - scrubber. We just give it a really good wash and a little scrub.

Woo I was a 6.4 which beats my record from yesterday. What concerns me a little though is that this was at around 7am which is when I normally get up. I went back to bed for around 2.5 more hours, got up and it was 8.5. I should have probably eaten at 7 but I wasn't hungry at all.

I agree with many other posts here, why is everyone running a bit higher than usual? Strange, must be something in the air.

87 second day in a row. Will work half day then try to force myself to hike;-)

overcast, mid to high 30s this morning, likely to warm up a bit.

I always leave the skin on my cucumbers! I'm not going to eat them today, just have had Greek yogurt. Will do romaine and avocado with EVOO, and salmon. For dinner, I'll do chicken. I'm determined to get back on track. I had to take my asthma meds (GERD can kick up asthma), Advil and Pepcid. My BG is up. Boo.

Your instincts are right, Jen . . . a couple of bites of anything low-carb might well have headed off that liver dump. If you keep something non-perishable in the nightstand - nuts, beef sticks, etc. - you don't even have to get outta bed to eat - just test, eat, roll over & go back to sleep!
