Hi y'all! It's been over a week since I've posted. I'm doing well, getting ready for our move in 12 days :-)

My am levels are doing good. Mostly in the uppers 90's. My husband and I started walking on the treadmill in the evenings. It's definitely helped me with my insomnia.

Hope everyone is doing well!! :-)

66 (3.65) this snowy morning, exactly the same at bedtime. Eleven hours fast.

26įF and snowing. Supposed to be snowing until Monday evening, then on and off a couple of days. Had about 3" overnight and up to 11AM. It has been snowing constantly since I got up at 11AM (night owl here). Going out to do my first shoveling of the day. I need to take the garbage up to the top of the road, but not sure I want to fight the road to do it. It can sit in the garage another week. I only fill it half way in a week anyway.

@Mary I agree with the ratio theory. As long as your carbs are low and you have your ratios right for you, you should stay in ketosis. Maybe you got your ratios even better recently thus the rise in ketones. I keep my ratios pretty much at 80/15/5 and stay nicely in ketosis whether carbs are in the teens or 20's. Ketones usually any where from 1.5 to 3 even hit the 4's sometimes. I don't check that often any more.

3.7 this morning.

Overcast and still with an expected top temp of 26C this Monday 24th Feb.

I agree that ratio is the important element of ketosis. Like Wally I sit between 3-4.

Billi you must be getting very excited about your move. I bet your family is really looking forward to you being close by.

I'm waiting to hear from the company that sent my meter. I'm sure they're thinking 'here's another one in denial, blaming a 'dodgy' meter for their high BG readings'. lol

My fibromyalgia has flared, it hurts just sitting here. It always happens with the change from summer to autumn. I'm so tempted to call a 'sickie' (take a sick day off work). My son has stopped taking that stinky drink! There is always a silver lining lol.

Take care

I wish Freya, but I'd feel too guilty. If I took today off it would really put a strain on the rest of the team. After tonight I have 2 days off. I'll try to pace myself. ♥♥♥

Yes, very much so!! I haven't seen my parents in 5 years, my younger sister in 2, and my older
brother in almost 8!! It's definitely time for me to go home :-)

I wish I could say something more positive but all I can say at this stage is that pain, stress and infections of any sort will push your blood sugar up - not just your dodgy meter. As the pain goes, I'd expect to see you getting the benefits of your diet management far more.
